The Patriot

Summary The movie Patriot takes place in southwesterly Carolina in 1776. Benjamin Martin (Mel Gib watchword), a French-Indian struggle hero and straight a planter who is constantly haunted by his past, as a patriot who wants no part in a contend with Britain. When the American Revolution comes, he chooses not to vie for the Continental Army because he wants to protect his family. Meanwhile, his two oldest sons, Gabriel (Heath Ledger) quizzical Thomas, cant wait to heart the war; something all young workforce wanted in that time frame. When South Carolina decides to go to war with Britain, Gabriel immediately signs up to fight, without his fathers permission. entirely soon, Colonel Tavington captures Gabriel and sentences him to be hanged. As Gabriel is taken away, Thomas tries to unleash him, only to be killed by Tavington, in front of his take father. Then the Commander ordered his men to burn his habitation down because he was helping wounded war patriots. Martins sister in law takes the jr. kids to her plantation for safety. Now, seeking revenge for his sons death, Benjamin leaves behind his 5 other children to lift justice to the 13 other colonies. Martin organizes the jury-rigged militiamen into a building block to help him get book binding at Commander Colonel Tavington. During the war Martin and his men discover that they lead dedicate a usurious personal price for their rebellion.
